We understand your concerns about allergies.
It’s important to note that it’s not possible to guarantee that you won’t experience an allergic reaction when using any products, including hair colouring products .
Over time, many people can develop sensitivities to various ingredients and foods without prior notice.

Avoid Dangerous Claims Like These

Any brand guaranteeing a reaction-free experience while colouring your hair is both careless and unethical.
A professional and serious brand should never make such claims, as it’s dangerous to guarantee that no allergic reaction will occur.

For example, some people have an allergy to water, known as aquagenic urticaria, which causes hives when the skin comes in contact with water.
This highlights the importance of recognising that everyone’s body reacts differently to various substances.

In our opinion, brands that guarantee a reaction-free experience are reckless and should be avoided. Your safety is our priority, and we believe in being transparent and responsible about the potential risks.

It’s important to understand that while the patch test can help identify potential allergies, it does not guarantee an allergy-free experience.
There is always a risk of an allergic reaction, and it’s essential for customers to assess and understand this risk.

No one, including any brand, can guarantee an allergy-free experience when using hair products, especially during hair colouring.
Your safety and well-being are paramount, and we encourage you to make informed decisions and take necessary precautions when using any hair care products.

If you have any concerns or questions about allergies or product usage, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us or consult with your hair professional.

Many pregnant women choose to have DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour applied in the salon, with no issues at all.
However, it remains the responsibility of each individual to choose to do so.

It’s worth noting that many pregnant women have successfully used DNA Organics ZERO Colour Creme in salons without any issues.
Nevertheless, the decision to use any hair colouring product during pregnancy should be a personal one, and individuals should consider their unique circumstances.

If you have a medical condition or are pregnant and have concerns about colouring your hair, we strongly recommend consulting your doctor.
Your health professional can provide guidance on whether the ingredients in the product are suitable for you or not.

Safety and suitability during medical treatments or pregnancy vary for each person and should be assessed by your health professional who understands your specific needs and situation.

When it comes to safety, a professional and serious brand should never make claims that their products are safer than others.

Over the years, many people and hair professionals have chosen to use DNA Organics hair colour and hair care products at home and in salons safely.
However, if you have a medical condition or simply have concerns about the safety or suitability of any product for your individual situation,
it’s crucial to seek advice from your health professional.
Your health professional should be aware of your needs and can provide personalised guidance.

It is your responsibility to seek this advice before using any product.
We take your safety very seriously.
If you are using our products or having them used on you, it’s important to follow all safety directions closely.

Many factors contribute to the possibility of allergic or other reactions to hair products, particularly hair colouring products.
These factors include, but are not limited to:

  1. Current State of Health: Your overall health and immune system can influence how your body reacts to hair products.
  2. Internal Toxic Load: The accumulation of toxins in your body from various sources can affect your body’s response to hair products.
  3. Medication Intake: Some medications can interact with hair products, increasing the risk of reactions.
  4. Permanent Makeup and Tattoos: The presence of permanent makeup or tattoos on the body can heighten the likelihood of reactions during hair coloring.

These factors highlight the complexity of individual reactions and the importance of considering your unique circumstances before using hair products.
If you have concerns about potential reactions, we recommend consulting with your health professional for personalised advice and guidance.

The claim of being “chemical-free” is often used in marketing but can be misleading.
It’s important to understand that everything, including natural substances, consists of chemicals.
For instance, water, a fundamental component of life, is a chemical with the proper name “Dihydrogen monoxide”.

At DNA Luxury Organics, we prioritise transparency and accuracy in our claims.
We refrain from using the term “chemical-free” because it can create misconceptions about the nature of ingredients.
Instead, we focus on using high-quality, safe ingredients and providing clear information about the composition of our products.

We believe that honesty and integrity are essential in the beauty industry.
Claims of being “chemical-free” can be careless and unethical, as they may mislead consumers.
It’s important to choose brands that provide truthful and scientifically accurate information about their products.

The claim of being “toxin-free” can be misleading and is often used in marketing without proper context.
At DNA Organics, we prioritise honesty and transparency in our communications.

It’s important to understand that toxins exist in all things, but the levels at which they are present can vary.
Some toxins are found at acceptable levels in nature and everyday products, while others can be harmful if present in excessive amounts.

For instance, water contains toxins at mostly acceptable levels.
However, if these toxin levels were to reach excessive levels, they could pose risks to human health.

In our opinion, claims of low toxins are acceptable as they acknowledge the presence of toxins while ensuring they are within safe limits.
However, brands claiming their products are completely toxin-free or contain no toxins may be making careless and unethical claims.

We encourage consumers to seek brands that provide clear and accurate information about the safety and composition of their products,
rather than relying solely on vague or misleading claims.

PERFORMANCE

Frequently Asked Questions About the performance of our products.

We understand that not all hairdressers have extensive training in product formulation, which means they may not realise that a carefully formulated product with added organic ingredients can often outperform similar products laden with chemicals.
Some manufacturers shy away from working with organic ingredients and essential oils, but not us.

Our brand, DNA Organics, has a longstanding reputation for luxury, reliability, and exceptional performance.
In fact, DNA Organics has earned numerous industry awards in Australia, thanks to its outstanding performance that often surpasses even the most well-known non-organic focused brands on the market.

It is our belief that DNA Organics will professionally outperform many brands on the market.
Not only are DNA Organics one of the most professionally awarded products in Australia but the hairdressers that use and rely on them are also successful and industry awarded in there own right.
DNA Organics is the No.1 choice for many professionals and in many of these cases the only one they chose.

DNA Organics ZERO Colour Creme definitely has the ability to provide 100% full grey coverage when used by a trained specialist . It is used in many professional salons as their No.1 choice for professional hair colour.

The longevity of your hair colour depends on your lifestyle and how you care for your hair.
Various factors can influence how long your colour stays vibrant.

The seasons, your activities, and your hair care routine all play a role.
For instance, using high-chemical hair care products, having poor hair condition, swimming, engaging in outdoor work or sports,
frequent hot iron styling or blow-drying, and chemical hair processing can speed up colour fading.

To help your colour last longer, we recommend using gentle, colour-safe products and adopting a hair care routine that protects and nourishes your hair.
We’re here to help you find the best ways to keep your hair looking its best.

Depending on how quickly your hair grows, you should only need to colour your hair once every 4 weeks.

We highly recommend following your hair professional’s advice closely, as they can see and touch your hair to properly evaluate its condition.

Typically, it’s best to wait at least six weeks for henna to wash out before colouring your hair with any DNA Organics hair colour range.
This helps avoid any adverse reactions and ensures you achieve your desired colour result.

For some hair types, the wait time may be longer. Your hair professional can provide personalised guidance to help you achieve the best possible outcome.

INGREDIENTS

Frequently Asked Questions About some of the ingredients in our products.

That is definitely misinformation. It is true that at the time of writing these FAQ’s that the world health organisation allows for a maximum use of 10% TDS in hair colouring formulas. This is in comparison to a maximum 4% PPD in hair colouring formulas. For example the maximum TDS that is in any DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour range is much less than half the maximum 10%. We only include from 1% up to 3.5% in any colour shade.

There is a lot of dangerous and unethical misinformation online regarding this ingredient. TDS is definitely a different ingredient with different traits. That is why it can be tolerated by more people. There is much reputable research proving TDS to be a milder alternative for people wishing to permanently colour their hair. Only real neutral and reputable research should be taken into account when deciding to choose a suitable alternative for you.

DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour uses (TDS) Toluene-2,5-diamine sulphate, which is proven to be a much milder ingredient and that can be tolerated by more than 50% of people that reacted to PPD as tested.

Phenylenediamine is a large family of ingredients. PPD (p-Phenylendiamine) is one of the many ingredients belonging to this family. Another ingredient that belongs to this family is Toluene-2,5-diamine sulphate (TDS), This is definitely a different ingredient to PPD. European cosmetic packaging law requires that the family name of Phenylenediamine is used.

Some people are sensitive to PPD (p-Phenylenediamine) in permanent hair dye. Some have been given professional medical advice to avoid PPD but would still like to colour their hair without using Henna and other non-professional methods. They require an alternative to colouring their hair.

DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour is marketed as a proper professional permanent change hair colouring product.
It is 100% Australian Owned, Australian designed and a proudly Australian brand.
To us here, the ZERO in DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour means,
No PPD, No Ammonia, No Resorcinol, No Parabens, No Persulfates, No Sls/Sles, No Silicones, No DEA, No Phthalates, No Pegs, No Animal Origins.
We feel thats a pretty clean start. Then, as a Luxury bonus, the majority of the ingredients list, “the INCI”, on every shade of colour in the range is a Certified Organic ingredient.
We truly believe there is NO EQUAL to DNA Luxury Organics ZERO Colour.

THE FEEL GOOD STUFF

Frequently Asked Questions About Animal testing, Products Claims, Vegan and Organics.

Other brands use the term “Clean” to mean Vegan or cruelty free;

Actually, for us, every product has to be Vegan + Cruelty free + Paraben free,
that is just our basic starting point at DNA ORGANICS .

It’s OK, But that’s NOT enough.

DNA Organics like to be very clear on what we mean when we use the term as part of the description for a particular product in our range.

So, what does the term “Clean” mean to us here at DNA Organics?

We use this term only when we can guarantee that we DO NOT add the ingredients PPD, AMMONIA, RESOCINOL, PARABEN, SLS/SLES, PERSULPHATES, SILICONES, PEGS, PHTHALATES and DEA to that product.
At the moment we use the term “clean” as part of the description for our Hair colour ranges called DNA Zero Colour and DNA Shade Oils and DNA Vivid.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The fact that there is no set solid meaning or guideline to using the term “clean” when operating in the world of cosmetics manufacturing or marketing, makes getting clear and honest information about a product nearly impossible. Especially the minefield of online misinformation.
It’s made even worse by some brands who are very unethical in their behaviour when they purposely create confusion and fear to drive people to their “solution”.

We stick to only the facts. Nothing else. Our product speaks for itself. Our history speaks for itself.
And Hopefully our clear and honest truth helps you navigate the info minefield a little bit better.

If you disagree with what the word clean means to us, that’s ok, we respect your opinion.
It’s also ok to drop us an email to share your view about the subject, we might not always be able to reply right back but rest assured that we respect your opinion as we trust you respect ours too.

However, please know that we’d be very sad if “misinformation” was a reason for you to stop using our beautiful products.
We are and have always been super confident that, in the professional world of hair colouring and haircare products,
DNA Organics has no equal.
We are 100% confident that if you were to do a “side by side” or “ingredient for ingredient” comparison to any so called competitor in the same space,
you’d soon experience that, Nothing Compares!
We hope you get the chance to experience it too.

We’re embarking on a transformative journey towards sustainability in our packaging.
Beginning with the recent introduction of PCR plastic (post-consumer recycled plastic) in all our plastic packaged goods,
our goal is a full transition to 100% PCR plastic across all our packaging materials.
This commitment represents a significant step in reducing our environmental impact.
We also fond of and use aluminium in the majority of the DNA Organics range.
Moreover, sustainability isn’t just about plastic or Aluminium for us.
In every facet of our operations, from product boxes to administrative materials, we exclusively use Forest Stewardship Council-certified (FSC) recycled paper.
This ensures that our commitment to sustainability extends throughout our entire organisation, fostering a greener future for generations to come.

Actually no,
Although ‘Organics’ is part of our brand name and while the use of ‘Certified Organic Ingredients’ in our products align with our commitment to quality,
they are a small aspect of our brand.

Our true claim to fame lies in our commitment to luxury and excellence, crafting premium haircare solutions that deliver exceptional results.
The inclusion of organic ingredients is a natural extension of our values, highlighting our focus on sustainability where possible and superior quality.

We take pride in a long history of specialising in using a blend of certified organic oils in many of our luxurious fragrances for superior quality allowing discerning consumers like yourself to experience the luxury DNA Organics offers.

We hope you get the opportunity to feel the difference for yourself.

We would never claim to be totally Certified Organic.
We will leave these kinds of unethical and dangerous claims to other haircare brands.
In- fact it’s not possible to be a professional function hair brand and be certified organic at the same time, except for Henna, which isn’t suitable for professional salon use.

DNA Organics is a professional brand with professional function and performance.

It’s a known fact that we create award winning products, it’s also known that we use essential oils that many others avoid,
it’s our belief that by choosing to use “Certified Organic ingredients”, we are doing better for you, for ourselves and for the environment..
and we believe we do it better than anyone.

When we purchase a certified organic ingredient to use in our products, we make sure that we only purchase ingredients that are certified by ACO (Australian Certified Organic).

For example,
in an average tube of DNA Organics Hair Colour, there are roughly between 52 -54 ingredients, and 33 of those ingredients are purchased in Australia and Certified Organic by we believe to be one of the most respected Organic Certifiers in the world; ACO (Australian Certified Organic).
We only trust and use ingredients that are certified by this Certifier.

It smells better and feels better.

DNA Organics contain many Certified Organic ingredients.

For information on the different and varied certified organic ingredients we use in our product ranges and to rule out if you are allergic to any ingredient,
please visit our Ingredients glossary
Unlike some other countries, in Australia the packaging and labelling laws state that all manufacturers must state the full chemical name of all ingredients on the packaging.
As far as we know, the only chemical name exempt is water, which has one of the scariest chemical names (DHMO) or Dihydrogen monoxide (Hydrogen x 2 + Oxygen x 1 = H2O)
Another example is Certified Organic Fennel Seed Oil which has a chemical name of (Foeniculum Vulgare), doesn’t look the best but is an amazing oil to work with.

We never ever test any of our products on animals.
We always test our products in real salons on real people, after all we are all about professional results for humans, not animals.

Yes, we market ALL DNA Organics Products as vegan.
We do not use animal ingredients in these ranges.
We never test on animals.

WE ARE VEGAN!

HERITAGE . ETHICS . TRUST .
